I reside in a rural town with husband Shannon and two very lovely but extremely energetic ginger-haired daughters.

I was diagnosed as gluten-intolerant and iron-deficient anemic in July 2011 and also have a strong family history of colon cancer. I believe the answers to my health are in the food I eat. This blog was a year long journey to regain my strength and heal myself with proper nutrition.

Almost 2 years after my diagnosis I am no longer anemic and can again eat gluten. I firmly believe eliminating processed foods and getting back to basics along with a solid faith in God brought back my good health. I know longer post but I hope my story will inspire others to change.
