Vegetable Soup

Peel, dice, quarter, slice, cut, etc.  the following

1 onion

7-8 carrots

5-6 celery ribs

1/2 head cabbage

Put in stock pot and add 1 tbsp minced garlic, 1-2 tsp oregano, 1/2 tsp thyme, salt and pepper.  Cover with water and simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes.

Peel and cut up  6 medium size potatoes.  Add to pot.  Turn up heat to medium.

Brown 1 lb. hamburger (I prefer venison burger)  Add to pot.  Add 1 can corn and 1/2 large can tomato juice.  Add 2-3 more cups of water.  Salt and pepper.  Simmer on med. low heat until ready to serve.

Ladle into bowls and forget about any other veggie soup you have had before.
